Furest redesigns its online store with TLG Commerce

In the 1920s, customers of the historic Furest gathered in the Louis XV-style salons the store had decorated for them on Passeig de Gràcia. Now trends have changed and Furest customers discover the new collections on their mobile devices, anywhere, anytime.

Furest redesigns its online store

Furest takes great care over the quality and design of its garments. With its own Furest Colección line and the introduction of women’s fashion brands, Furest’s managers satisfy the good taste of loyal customers and broaden their target to new female shoppers.

But Furest doesn’t just focus on what it sells, but also on how it sells it. The technology upgrade, with the new online store design, adds to the renovations of its physical stores. At Furest, omnichannel isn’t just a new buzzword brought in by eCommerce Managers: for them, the link between online and offline is a reality that drives business sales.

Furest, ahead of its time

Estanislao Furest Roca, founder of the historic Barcelona fashion store, was a visionary in his day. In 1917 he made a risky but wise decision: moving his store from Plaça Reial to Passeig de Gràcia, which would later become the city’s new shopping hub.

Furest moved its store ahead of Barcelona’s retail trends

Furest’s history isn’t just full of relocations and new store openings; renovations have mattered too. In the past, the work was led by architects such as Federico Correa and Alfonso Milà. But with digitalization, the new architects are TLG Commerce’s developers, designers and project managers, the agency it trusts to power its online store with the eCommerce platform LogiCommerce.

And just as Estanislao bet on a physical move in 1917 to secure foot traffic in Barcelona, the heirs to the business are betting in 2018 on TLG Commerce’s Digital Marketing department. The talk is no longer about shopping centers or streets but about social media, SEO and SEM, the new routes ruled by Google that TLG Commerce’s digital marketing team knows inside out.

Furest bets on women’s fashion

In 2012, Furest opened its first digital store with TLG. Over these six years, its platform has continuously adapted to technological changes, which keep accelerating day after day. Furest’s managers have opted for a complete overhaul of their digital store. The new features improve not only the customer shopping experience but also business management.
