TLG Commerce attended Digital 1to1, organized by Club Ecommerce and held on March 6, 7 and 8 in Sitges (Barcelona).
This was the 5th edition of the event, the main meeting point for large companies involved in eCommerce and the leading technology and service providers. Three days packed with activities and opportunities — and, above all, a chance to see what the market is looking for so we can offer it a personalized, high-quality value proposition.
eCommerce industry trends
At the 2018 edition, several heads of TLG Commerce’s business areas agreed on the main opportunities and trends in the eCommerce sector.
- SaaS platforms as the eCommerce solution. More and more, big brands are choosing solutions that offer high availability and scalability, letting them focus on what really matters: growing the business online. Our 18 years of experience with our SaaS solution and more than 300 clients reinforce our leadership in Retail.
- B2B: platform and online marketing. Online adoption and sales are clearly moving into B2B. This lets companies offer a 24×7 service to their customer portfolio while improving sales efficiency processes and online/offline customer segmentation. “Since early 2017, many B2B clients have been investing in the online business, both in marketing and, especially, in their platform. In the Online Marketing department, we’ve been focusing our growth and training on B2B for some time,” says Pau Lepage, head of the Online Marketing department.
- Personalization and Marketing Automation: there are many different solutions for improving personalized communication with customers. Suitable for all types of businesses, they help improve customer acquisition, conversion and retention in an automated, efficient way.
- Omnichannel and 360º marketing: online and offline must coexist, seeking clear synergies. A single customer with a 360º view! And having both a physical and digital presence means companies increasingly need advice when planning their online marketing.
- Chatbots: customer service is still one of the main areas for improvement in eCommerce. That’s why chat options have become increasingly popular in recent months. These solutions help manage customer service resources much more efficiently, while automating all responses related to support, help or additional product information.
In the various one-to-one meetings, TLG Commerce participants discussed the complexities of today’s online environment. That’s why more and more companies, besides having an eCommerce platform, are seeking advice on decision-making — whether managing online marketing resources, planning international expansion or finding new sales and monetization levers.
Digital 1to1 brought together more than 400 attendees, and TLG Commerce had the pleasure of presenting the Volkswagen and TLG Commerce success story.
Presenting the Volkswagen success story
Pau Lepage, Digital Marketing Manager at TLG Commerce, gave the talk “How it multiplied online sales and enhanced its omnichannel experience through its eCommerce” together with Fran Navarro, Product Manager at Volkswagen.
The main goal is to extend the omnichannel relationship and increase sales traffic. The new online store makes it easier to handle content, improves usability and, ultimately, modernizes the browsing experience. Besides a new design in line with the brand image, the work focuses on better supporting mobile browsing, which is increasingly decisive for digital purchases. Having a SaaS platform has helped streamline all processes, adapted to the digital environment.
