A collaboration agreement signed between Mediterranean Consulting and Trilogi (TLG Commerce) will speed up content creation in online stores through a PIM (Product Information Management) that connects companies’ ERP with their eCommerce store.
The Lacoste case
LogiCommerce, the Trilogi (TLG Commerce) solution, and the Mediterranean Consulting PIM were first integrated when developing the Lacoste Spain store. The success of this project gave Lacoste a centralized environment with all product information: descriptions, attributes, images, etc. As a result, the Lacoste eCommerce store automatically has rich information on every model.
The companies’ leaders have sealed this work with a collaboration agreement that can benefit other companies needing this solution.
What does a PIM do?
A key factor for retail, in the midst of transforming how it sells its products, is having all information centralized to make integrating the digital sales channel easier.
The PIM solution acts as the link between the ERP and the eCommerce platform. On one side it gathers structured information (descriptions, attributes, features and categories) from the ERP. On the other, it collects unstructured information such as images and related documents, which often come from different sources.
The PIM developed by Mediterranean is highly flexible and adaptable, and the people behind it know that “every company needs a PIM tailored to the specific needs of its daily operations”.
