Trilogi drives the digital transformation of a veterinary clinic

The digital transformation of businesses moves forward as entrepreneurs find the support they need to launch new projects. The Albet veterinary clinic, founded in 1981, had a corporate website to showcase its services but had not yet dared to digitize the most commercial line of its business. It was after meeting Trilogi (TLG Commerce) that the owners decided to take the transformation a step further and open a B2B store to boost sales of the pharmaceutical and animal feed products they have distributed offline for years.

Website and online store

During the consulting process, Cristina Escalante, Project Manager at TLG, proposed bringing both business lines under a single domain and using the website’s home page to present them. The left side of the screen would serve as the clinic’s corporate page, specializing in veterinary care for equines and farm animals. The right side would be the eCommerce, dedicated to distributing the products sold wholesale. This way, under the existing domain its regular customers already knew, Albet would also have an online store where purchasing managers at veterinary shops and clinics could buy anytime, from anywhere.

The corporate page was redesigned and the B2B store was built to add improvements as the owners identified their customers’ needs. That’s why Albet uses the survey module included in Trilogi’s (TLG Commerce) eCommerce solution, LogiCommerce. The store owners can actively listen to users’ shopping experience and improve the entire digital process with their own first-hand information. The statistics from LogiCommerce, plus the analysis of survey responses —which customers receive by email after their order is delivered— make it possible to keep adapting the store’s features to improve experience, conversion, payment methods, deliveries and more.

Pets: a booming digital business

The changing idea of what a pet is not only drives people’s interest in getting a companion animal but also the creation of digital businesses and online stores. As shown in the results report published by the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, the pet business is in good health. According to the figures in the study, the sector billed nearly 848 million euros in health and food products, up 8% on the previous year.

The same study notes a decline in specialist shops and clinics in favor of an increasingly important presence of digital projects serving customers online, especially in pet food.
