The challenge
The challenges of selling online in China
- Symptom 1
A different digital ecosystem
Google, Meta and WhatsApp aren’t the benchmark. Your brand needs to be on WeChat, Douyin, Xiaohongshu or Baidu.
- Symptom 2
Regulation, licenses and ICP
Hosting a website in mainland China requires an ICP license and compliance with local regulations.
- Symptom 3
Choosing the entry model
Cross-border or local company, direct sales or through partners: each option changes costs, timelines, taxation and risk.
- Symptom 4
Complex logistics and customs
General trade or cross-border import, labeling, free trade zones and last mile: a customs mistake costs weeks.
China isn’t just another channel: it’s a whole different ecosystem.
What we do
What we do for your business in China
Seven service areas coordinated by one team and a single point of contact.
China consulting
We help you decide how to enter or grow in the Chinese market: market research, competition, cross-border or local entry model, partner selection and regulatory requirements. We turn it into a launch plan and a growth plan with goals, budget and timeline.
Cross-border and local online store
We build websites, H5 mobile sites, WeChat stores and WeChat mini programs, with design and UX built for Chinese users. You can start with a basic store to validate or go straight to a custom project.
Payments and hosting in China
We integrate Alipay, WeChat Pay and UnionPay, plus international gateways that settle into your account abroad. Hosting in mainland China with CDN and ICP, or in Hong Kong for companies with an international license.
Marketing and media plan
We manage and advertise your brand on WeChat, Weibo, Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book), Douyin and Zhihu. We handle SEO and SEM on Baidu, KOL and KOC campaigns and pop-up stores in shopping malls.
Logistics solutions
Inventory in warehouses in mainland China, free trade zones and Hong Kong, with general trade and cross-border customs clearance. Includes labeling, pick and pack and last mile.
Operations and customer service
We manage product content and coordinate orders between store and logistics. We serve your customers in Chinese on the channels they use.
Corporate services
Company setup and business license in China, accounting, auditing, tax and VAT, and relations with local authorities. Also bank accounts, visas, recruitment, payroll and expatriates.

Frequently asked questions
What we’re often asked.
How do you sell online in China from Spain?
There are two main routes: cross-border, selling from abroad under a specific customs regime, or local, with a company and license in China. You also need a presence on Chinese social platforms, local payment methods and customs-ready logistics. Our China consulting helps you choose the model and set up the whole ecosystem.
What is an ICP license and when do I need one?
The ICP is the mandatory registration for hosting a website on servers in mainland China. Only companies with a Chinese business license can obtain it. If you operate through an international company, the usual alternative is hosting in Hong Kong with a CDN into China. We advise you on the right option for your business model.
Which social networks are used in China to sell?
The main ones are WeChat, for communication and shopping mini programs; Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, focused on video and shopping; Xiaohongshu or Little Red Book, key for product discovery; Weibo and Zhihu. Each has its own audience and format, and we combine them with KOLs and KOCs.
Cross-border or a local company in China?
Cross-border lets you start sooner and with less investment, ideal for validating demand. A local company gives you more control, more channels and a better delivery experience, but requires more structure and compliance. It depends on your product, margins and ambition; we analyze it during the consulting phase.
Why work with TRILOGI in China?
Because we combine the strategic vision of a digital agency with experience in China’s digital ecosystem. A single point of contact coordinates consulting, technology, marketing, logistics and corporate services, so you don’t have to manage multiple suppliers in another language.
