Trilogi attends the 1st REC meeting on fashion

On Wednesday, November 5, our CEO Màrius Rossell spoke at the first Meeting on new trends in fashion consumption organized by REC.010, the fashion event that for 4 days turns the old textile factories of Igualada’s Rec district into pop-up stores.

From the start, Rec.0 Experimental Stores has been a pioneering event introducing a new retail concept and an innovative vision of the fashion industry. This time, as they were organizing the first meeting on new trends in fashion consumption, they invited Màrius to share his perspective on the eCommerce channel. eCommerce plays a crucial role in the present and future of fashion, and it’s a channel that needs constant innovation to stay current.

During the session, all the speakers shared their view of today’s consumer: someone who moves between the online and offline worlds, always looking for the best deals, but who also seeks an experience when buying fashion.

Our view was that today’s consumers, largely thanks to the rise of the internet, are constantly bombarded by new trends that burn out at lightning speed, forcing them to consume constantly if they want to keep up.

In fashion, the internet has opened up new opportunities for brands while giving rise to new trendsetters such as bloggers and Instagrammers… (who dictate what’s in at any given moment) and new ways of buying, especially among younger generations, who increasingly shop and research online.

This round table, moderated by Pilar Riaño of Modaes, also featured Toni Riba (Distressed Goods & FO Manager South Europe at Levi’s), Aida Domenech (blogger at Dulceida), Josep Abril (fashion designer) and Maria Josep Soler (fashion journalist).

At Trilogi we thank the REC.0 Experimental Stores organizers for inviting us to take part in such an interesting debate, and we look forward to working with them again in future editions.
