Last Thursday, Igualada hosted the 15th Business Dinner, organized by the Anoia Business Union under the slogan “We are business, we are the future.”
The event was attended by the Catalan Minister of Business and Employment, Felip Puig; the Secretary for Universities, Toni Castellà; the Mayor of Igualada, Marc Castells; the President of the Unió Empresarial de l’Anoia, Blai Paco, as well as mayors from across the region. Some 400 people from the region’s business community attended.
As every year, the UEA 2015 Awards were presented during the event, recognizing companies from the region for their business initiatives.
This year, the TIC Anoia award went to Trilogi, a pioneering eCommerce company headquartered in Igualada with offices in Asia.
The other awards went to:
- Innovation Award: ABC Leather, S.L.
- Entrepreneurship Award: Ocisport
- Institution Award: Fira d’Igualada
- Lifetime Achievement Award: Miquel i Costas Group
A special mention was also given to the career of designer Lluis Soriano
The event included several institutional speeches and a talk by Xavier Sala-i-Martin titled What have you done that’s new today?, in which he spoke about the importance of creativity in education as the engine of innovation. The evening ended with a dinner that encouraged networking among attendees.
At Trilogi we’re very happy and proud to receive this award and, in the words of our CEO, Màrius Rossell: this award belongs to the whole Trilogi team, and I thank everyone who is making this dream project come true.
Thank you very much!
